Artist Statement

Life is full of transitions and metamorphoses from one stage, location, or mind set to another. Large epochs of our lives, marked by earthquakes changing, sometimes catastrophically, the landscape of and fabric of our everyday. My work feels preoccupied with visualizing motion in life, both the earthquakes and the still silent moments in-between.  From the moments of pause and stifling congestion to uncontrolled forward progression, my work explores a variety of different stages and motions through life with momentary pauses of reflection.
